Beginner Golf Lessons, Central Scotland

Golf is one of those sports that can feel a little intimidating from the outside — but once you get started, most people wonder why they waited so long. Whether you've been thinking about trying it for a while or someone has finally convinced you to give it a go, you're in the right place.
I work with complete beginners every week, and I know that the first step is often the hardest. My job is to make that step feel easy — giving you a relaxed, welcoming environment where you can learn at your own pace, ask every question you have, and actually enjoy the process of picking up a new skill.
Taking up something new can feel daunting, especially when you're not sure if it'll stick. That's exactly why I offer a 90-minute introductory lesson — a relaxed, no-pressure session designed to give you a genuine taste of golf and what it feels like to learn it properly.
In your first session we'll cover the fundamentals at a pace that suits you: how to hold a club, how to stand, and how to make your first swings with confidence. There's no expectation, no jargon, and absolutely no judgement — just a supportive environment where you can explore whether golf is something you'd like to pursue.
By the end of the session you'll have a clear sense of where you are, what you enjoyed, and what a next step might look like — whether that's continuing with lessons or simply leaving with a great experience under your belt.
What's included:
90 minutes of dedicated 1:1 coaching
A full introduction to the basics — grip, posture, alignment and swing
Use of clubs if you don't have your own
Honest, friendly feedback and a clear picture of what comes next
This is the perfect starting point if you're curious about golf but not quite ready to commit. Come as you are!

If you've decided golf is something you want to pursue — or you want to give yourself the best possible start — the Beginner Pathway takes you through a structured four-lesson programme built around you. Each session builds on the last, covering technique, movement and mindset, so you're developing as a complete golfer from day one. By the end you'll have the skills and confidence to play your first real holes.
Your four-lesson journey:
Putting — We start on the green, where most of your shots will be played. You'll develop a smooth, consistent stroke, learn to read greens and build the kind of confidence that sets a great foundation for everything that follows.
Short game — Chipping, pitching and the scoring zone. You'll learn clean contact around the green, how to choose the right club, and the basic pitch shot for those 20–50 yard situations.
Long game — Full swing fundamentals with irons, fairway woods and driver. We'll work on consistent ball striking, a simple pre-shot routine, and how to take what you've learned onto the course.
On-course session — Your final lesson is played on the course itself. You'll apply everything in a real game environment, with guidance on course management, rules & etiquette — finishing with a full debrief and a clear plan for what comes next.
Every lesson is personal, relaxed and built around how you learn best.
This pathway includes:
Three 60-minute lessons + one on course lesson
Personalised homework and practice tips after each lesson.
