About Nicola Melville
PGA Fellow Professional and golf coach

I’m Nicola Melville, a PGA Fellow Professional with over 20 years’ experience working in golf. I coach beginners, returning golfers and experienced players, helping each person understand their game and make progress through clear, manageable steps.

My approach is calm, practical and personal. I’ll listen to what you want from your golf, explain what I see and help you focus on changes you can take into practice and onto the course.

I particularly enjoy helping people feel comfortable getting started, including women looking for a supportive introduction to golf.

I began my golf career in 2005 as an Assistant Professional at Blairgowrie Golf Club before moving to the Old Course Hotel, Golf Resort & Spa in St Andrews, where I completed my PGA Foundation Degree and qualified as a PGA Professional. I went on to work as Head Professional at Murrayshall Country Estate and later as Head of Golf at Westerwood, gaining extensive experience in coaching, club operations and player development.

Alongside my club roles, I spent several years working in tournament golf, co-founding the Ladies Tartan Tour and working as a freelance Tournament Director before joining the PGA Tournament team, where I worked until 2022. I returned to a coaching-led career in 2025, establishing Nicola Melville Golf, where I now focus on providing individual coaching and helping golfers of all abilities develop their skills, confidence and enjoyment of the game.
