Nicola's Bio

PGA Advanced Professional, currently working as Head of Golf Westerwood Hotel, Spa and Golf Resort.

Starting out my professional golf career in 2005 I worked as an Assistant Professional at Blairgowrie Golf Club before moving to the Old Course Hotel, Golf Resort and Spa, St Andrews in 2006. During the next three years I completed the PGA Foundation Degree programme and become a fully qualified PGA Professional.

Since then I always been persuing ways to improve my knowledge and experience in the golf industry so I went on to pass the Advanced Certificate in Golf Coaching from the University of Birmingham and achieved the PGA/UKCC Level 3 coaching qualification. 

Having attended the PGA Advanced Rules of Golf CPD course in 2012 I joined the PGA Rules Panel and started refereeing at PGA Tournaments before being invited to attend the R&A Tournament Administrators and Referees School in 2015. I was the co-founder and freelance Tournament Director of the Ladies Tartan Tour sponsored by the Paul Lawrie Golf Centre which ran from 2013 - 2015 before joining the PGA tournament staff and working as a Tournament Director from 2015 - 2022. 

In 2018 I was awarded Advanced Professional status as recognition of my career development and I went on to join Murrayshall Country Estate in 2022 as Head Professional to allow me to branch out into other areas of the golf industry.
